Panel & Survey Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Jury Associates, Inc., doing business as JuryTest ("JuryTest," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects the personal information of individuals who register for our research panel and participate in our surveys and research studies (collectively, "you" or "panelists").

JuryTest operates an online research panel and survey marketplace. When you join our panel, we act as the data controller of your personal information, and any research marketplaces and panel partners we work with (including Cint) act as processors or as separate controllers in connection with the studies you are invited to. By registering with JuryTest, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1.Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us, that is generated through your participation, and that we receive from our service providers and research partners:

• Registration and profile information — name, email address, postal ZIP/area, telephone number, smartphone type, date of birth or age, gender, and the demographic and background information you provide when you join or update your profile.
• Survey and research responses — the answers, ratings, dial-test inputs, and other responses you submit while participating in studies, along with metadata such as start and completion times and quality indicators.
• Payment and incentive information — the details needed to deliver your rewards (for example, an email address or account identifier used by our payout provider). We do not collect or store full bank or card numbers ourselves.
• Technical and usage information — IP address, device and browser type, and similar information collected automatically when you use our site, used for security, fraud prevention, and to operate the service.

Providing this information is voluntary. You choose whether to register and which studies to take part in, and you may decline or withdraw at any time.

2.How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Register and manage your membership and verify your eligibility for studies;
• Match you to surveys and research studies and invite you to participate;
• Deliver incentives and rewards for completed participation;
• Communicate with you about your account, study invitations, and service updates;
• Maintain quality, prevent fraud and duplicate accounts, and secure our systems;
• Produce aggregated and de-identified research results for our clients; and
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

You are paid an incentive for completing the studies you choose to participate in, as described at the time of each invitation.

3.How we share your information

We share personal information only as described below:

• Research marketplaces and panel partners (such as Cint) — to match you to studies, route you to surveys, and process participation, your information may be shared with research marketplaces and the survey buyers who run studies you take part in. These partners are contractually required to handle your information consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
• Service providers — vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, email delivery, incentive and payout processing, and fraud prevention, under agreements that restrict their use of your information to providing those services.
• Research clients — our clients receive study results in aggregated or de-identified form; they do not receive your contact information as part of standard reporting.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of JuryTest, our panelists, or others.
• Business transfers — if JuryTest is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4.Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Delete your personal information;
• Withdraw consent and unsubscribe from study invitations at any time; and
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

You may review, modify, or revoke your consents and update or delete your profile at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 9, or by using the account and unsubscribe tools provided in our communications. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under statutes such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and comparable state laws.

5.We do not sell your personal information

JuryTest does not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Sharing your information with research marketplaces and survey buyers so that you can participate in studies you have chosen, and so that we can deliver the service you signed up for, is part of operating the panel — not advertising-based monetization.

6.How long we keep your information

We retain your personal information for as long as you remain an active member of the panel and as needed to provide the service, meet our legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.

Consistent with industry standards (ISO 26362), an active panelist is one who has registered, participated in at least one survey when requested, or updated their profile within the previous 12 months. Where a panelist becomes inactive under this definition, their panel data is scheduled for automatic deletion after a pre-determined period of inactivity, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may also request deletion of your information at any time, as described in Section 4.

7.How we protect your information

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and loss, including access controls, encryption in transit, and fraud-prevention measures. No system is completely secure; in the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law and without undue delay.

8.Age restriction and international transfers

Age. The JuryTest panel is intended only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to register or participate. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we will delete any such information that comes to our attention.

International transfers. JuryTest is based in the United States, and our research marketplace and service providers may process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated "Last revised" date, and where required by law, we will notify you or obtain your consent. Your continued participation after the effective date of a revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
